Kanoa (noun) - "the free one"
When I was a kid, I remember my mother telling me she named me Kanoa because it meant "the Free Spirit" or "the free one." She encouraged me to unapologetically live as myself and to live free - free of fear, free of doubt, and free of judgment. With an unrelenting attitude, the Free Spirit chases whatever goal they set for themselves until the job is finished. The Free Spirit is not bound by uncertainty or the question of "what if?" but rather motivated by the question of "why not?" It doesn't matter if you're a blue-collar worker waking up at 4AM for a 14 hour shift or if you're President of the PTA and run a kick-ass bake sale. The Free Spirit is a workhorse that deserves a coffee bean of the same caliber.
A special thank you to my godfather - Ninong Jade. Without you, KCC would still be an idea in my notebook. You were the first person I told about KCC while we sat at the dinner table in Oahu. And you were the first person to tell me to go for it. You always pushed me to be better while remaining grateful...to be a Free Spirit. Mahalo, Uncle.

Each country that KCC selects provides a bean that possesses various natural flavors that can only be properly highlighted by precise roasting. Thanks to Len, Vince, and the rest of the CRC team, Kanoa Coffee Company can ensure quality roasted beans from when they're grown and processed, to the moment they hit the cooling rack.
